Families USA, a progressive non-profit health care advocacy organization, announced that by 2010 some 58,450 Utahns will lose health insurance. This translates to 370 people losing health coverage every week, 1,620 every month, and 19,480 every year in Utah.

The organization has also reported in the past that roughly 3 working-age Utahns die a week due to lack of insurance, and that Utah ranks 10 in the Nation for worst at providing children's health insurance.

Despite this, Senator Orrin Hatch, a member of the Senate Finance Committee working on health care legislation, opposed the senate health care reform bill, saying that bigger government and more taxes is “their [democrats] answer to everything.”

We get it Hatch. Big government and taxes bad. But what is your solution to health care reform? We'd all like to know. And you get minus 10 points if you say tax-cuts for the insurance industry.
