Well, hello festival season. Hello summer. Thanks for stopping by. You're a bit late, but we'll take what we can get! What's that? You brought more than we can handle this weekend? Two, no, three music festivals?! Two taking place of the canyon and one unfolding smack dab in the center of downtown SLC. Hot dog!

Folks, your options are as follows:

Snowbird's Mountain Music Festival kicks off tonight with Justin Townes Earle, Cowboy Junkies and Son Volt on the Peruvian Terrace. Read more about Son Volt's recent adventures in our interview with the band's Jay Farrar. On Saturday, touring headliners Seldom Scene and Old 97s wrap up a full day at the Terrace. SLC's Band of Annuals play the Tram Club later that night at 10:30 p.m. On Sunday, highlights include Tift Merritt, TR Ritchie and a fiddle workshop with Kate MacLeod.

In Park City, the Roots Rock Reggae Festival will deliver on its title starting on Saturday with a lineup that includes Pepper, Eek-A-Mouse, Mana Poly All Stars, Natural Roots, Tomorrow's Bad Seeds and many others. Check the schedule here. And don't forget the pre- and after-parties at Star Bar.

The annual Salt Lake City International Jazz Festival also begins tonight at Washington Square with standouts The Great Basin String Band, Bay Area legends Tower of Power and Utah's own John Henry featuring members of SLAJO. Complete lineup available online.

Off the festival map - SLUG Localized features David Williams, Band of Annuals and Will Sartain's new project at The Urban Lounge where on Saturday Def Jux artist Cage will perform. The Jim Rose Circus Side Show takes over Club Vegas on Saturday with mind-blowing, stomach-turning feats of strength and insanity.
