For all of you Local First Utah enthusiasts, you know full well this is Independents Week.

Or for those of you out of the loop, from June 27th to July 4th, locally owned businesses and organizations mark the occasion by having special deals and promotions, as well as events throughout the city. Leading all up to the final event at Farmer's Market this Saturday which includes a chef face-off. Like Iron Chef... only local with no subtitles. But tonight Local First throws their first local music festival at The State Room. Starting at 9PM you can catch Purdymouth, Paul Jacobson & The Madison Arm, and finishing out the evening to celebrate the release of their new album 33 is Townie.

Tickets are a $10 donation at the door which includes food, and a cash bar on hand. Head over, grab an album, and celebrate all things local.
