This weekend's Grill on the Hill at Snowbird had a little something for everybody: rain, wind, thunder, lightening, sleet, fog, and even snow a little higher up the hill. Kudos to all of the BBQ competitors who braved the chilly and wet conditions to compete in the 2nd Annual Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned Grill on the Hill competition. And double kudos to all the hardworking staff who persevered through nasty conditions to make the event a success.

Nope, that's not smoke from the BBQ you're looking at, that's weather!

Q4U's T & Becci cheer on their fellow contestants.

When the smoke cleared, Blakes BBQ from Mesa, Arizona won the Grand Champion Award, defeating 26 other very competitive BBQ teams. As one of the certified Grill on the Hill judges, I can assure you that the judging was difficult: There was a helluva lot of great 'cue at the competition.

If you missed this one, be sure to catch The Utah State BBQ Championship at Rock 'n' Ribs: Gallivan Center, August 21 & 22. I can pretty much guarantee better weather.
