Monk's Closed

If you were planning on going to Monk's (former House of Jazz) this weekend to catch The Furs, Fry Sauce, 11 Fingered Charlie or perhaps just a fascinating tale of danger and debauchery from Alex, forget it: The joint is closed, joining the recently-departed Bar Deluxe in the SLC Club Afterlife.
No details yet, just know that "Your Underground for the Underground" will not be serving for the foreseeable future. Sad, as it was one of our favorite downtown hangouts--and we thought Monk's furniture would disintegrate before the club ...
