Devotees of Pixar's animated features now by now that several elements recur over the course of all 10 of the company's features. Sharp-eyed viewers might already have been able to identify all of these elements in the studio's new release Up; others might have been too caught up in the story to keep watch. Today, Disney/Pixar issued a press release identifying where to find these familiar Easter Eggs (turn away now if you prefer to find them for yourself):
* Voice actor John Ratzenberger -- who has been everything from Toy Story's Hamm to Monsters, Inc.'s Yet to WALL-E's obsese human John -- plays the construction foreman.
* The star-decorated plastic ball that made it's debut in Pixar's very first short, Luxo Jr., appears under the bed of a young girl who spots the film's balloon-powered house drifting by her window.
* A113 -- the California Institute for the Arts classroom where Pixar's John Lasseter, Pete Docter, Brad Bird and Andrew Stanton all did time -- appears as a courtroom designation where Carl makes a court appearance.
* And the Pizza Planet truck actually makes two cameo appearances: once early in the film when Carl's house soars over an intersection, and near the end in an ice-cream shop parking lot.
