As 2008-2009 seasons wind down, local theater companies are starting to announce their slates for 2009-2010. Pioneer Theatre Company led the way with its season announcement in April. This week, others are following suit.

Salt Lake Acting Company dedicated its 2009-2010 season to the late actor Tony Larimer, who appeared in several productions over the course of more than 25 years. Productions are scheduled to include Harold Pinter's The Caretaker; Terrence McNally's Master Class; the modern-day-Antigone drama Too Much Memory; the comic Margaret Fuller biography Charm; a musical adaptation of the kid-lit classic Go Dog Go!; and Saturday's Voyeur 2010.

Plan-B Theatre Company also announced its new season in conjunction with last weekend's And the Banned SLAMMED On fundraiser. It's another all-world-premiere season by local playwrights, including Matthew Ivan Bennett's Alice in Wonderland spin Radio Hour: Alice; Jenifer Nii and Debora Threedy's Wallace, which intertwines the biographies of writers Wallace Stegner and Wallace Thurman; and Eric Samuelsen's "who discovered America" satire Amerigo.
