Feel the heat!

This Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:30 PM Ichiban Sushi will host its 21st annual Burn-off contest. The popular fundraising event partners with the Salt Lake City Fire Department to support the Fill the Boot drive for muscular dystrophy. Twenty-two contestants will test their fire-eating skills as they take on rounds of sushi prepared with increasingly incendiary sauces. The last one standing will win a $250 gift certificate to Ichiban Sushi and bragging rights as the 2009 Burn-off champ. I entered the contest years ago when Ichiban was located in Park City and my digestive system still hasn't quite recovered.
