The city council meets again tonight to go over a variety of proposed fee hikes from online convenience fees to business license fees as part of the 2009-2010 budget. But the main event tonight will likely be the council catching an earful from the public on the Mayor’s proposed construction of a $125 million new public safety cop-shop on the corner of library square.

Overdue civic campus or the shadow of authority blotting out a downtown marvel of openness and community?

Come tell your elected officials what’s what, tonight Tuesday May 12, at 7 p.m. at the City and County Building, 451 S. State Street, RM 315.
