The Church’s miraculous efforts in raising the City Creek mall project from dust and chaos to fruition has caught the attention of the New York Times, who recently wrote of the project in their real estate section. The article notes the grandeur of the plan and the strong stake the Church has in its creation.

If I had to pick a favorite part, it would probably be the quote from local real-estate Maven Babs Delay on the appeal of a pricey one unit $900,000 City Creek condo overlooking the downtown temple:

“It’s the equivalent of living across the street from the Vatican or the Wailing Wall,” said Babs Delay, a local real-estate agent. “They will pay anything for this location.”

You gotta love it when religion and market forces collide. It’s just so damned Utah.
