I guess there's something about the first of May that's incredibly appealing for theater companies. We don't usually find three productions opening locally in the same weekend, but we do now. Where will you spend your theater dollar?
* At the Rose Wagner Center, Pygmalion Productions presents The Passion of Sister Dottie S. Dixon, the full-length adventures of the character from KRCL's short comic segments. Check out our interview with co-creator Troy Williams in this week's City Weekly.
* Also at the Rose, Wasatch Theatre Company gives us The Sugar Bean Sisters.
* And up at the Pioneer Theatre Company, Madama Butterfly does 1975 Vietnam in Miss Saigon.
City Weekly will be checking out all three shows, and sharing our views over the next week. Meanwhile, let us know which you've seen, and your thoughts.
