The U.S. Census Bureau’s Denver Regional Census Center is recruiting managers now for the Ogden Local Census Office for the fall of 2009. Positions include Local census office manager; Assistant manager, field operations; Assistant manager, recruiting; Assistant manager, quality assurance; Assistant manager, administration; and Assistant manager, technology. Minimum qualifications frequire applicants to have U.S. Citizenship, clear the FBI background check and pass a supervisory test. Those interested should visit the census employment Website for detailed job descriptions and directions on how to apply. Applicants can also call 801-736-5060 to schedule a supervisory test.

And should you prefer to use your career lull to launch an acting career, or if you just want a decent photo of yourself for when you do get hired, here's another business brief: Commercial photographer Alan Blakely has started Salt Lake Headshots, a photography service that offers business and publicity portraiture exclusively.
