For those of us "walking with hope" (what I used to tell people I was doing when my car broke down, but what I later came to call my stints of unemployment):

You're welcome, Mr. Obama, for the free ad.

And should you prefer to use your career lull to launch an acting career, or if you just want a decent photo of yourself for when you do get hired, here's another business brief: Commercial photographer Alan Blakely has started Salt Lake Headshots, a photography service that offers business and publicity portraiture exclusively. Photos can be taken at Blakely's professional studio (the cheaper way), or he can bring his studio to you. Blakely explains a headshot says, "I'm someone special--pay attention." So pay attention and contact: Alan Blakely, alan@blakely.com, 360 N. 700 West, Suite H, North Salt Lake, UT 84054, 801-954-8000.

You're welcome, Mr. Blakely.
