Well, the Jazz lost game 1 of the NBA Playoffs in a yawner of a game highlighted by the fact that the Lakers wore white jerseys.
White jerseys? Ever heard the phrase “Laker Gold?” Here’s the deal… PICK YOUR COLORS. Stay with them. The Lakers are gold and purple. Period. The Jazz somehow over the last 20 years morphed from purple into navy blue into powder blue with the occasional black jersey. Lame. I would even take the old green and gold over this every color of the rainbow business. The Atlanta Hawks are blue now? Since when? What about the Cleveland Cavaliers? What color are you? Brown? Red? Orange? Yellow? Blue? Jesus Christ, pick a damn color already.
When I was a kid, your jersey color meant something. We’re blue, they’re green, so I hate green, and I am proud to wear the blue, see?
Simple.
Not according to the NBA. Apparently there are Franchise Colors, Alternate Franchise Colors, (wtf??) Alternate Uniform Colors, Special Uniform Colors, Special Uniform Colors 2, (oh God I love that) Commemorative Logo Colors, Alternate Logo Colors, and get this… Miscellaneous Logo Colors.
Are you kidding me?
When will it end? I guess when the Mauve / Peach Celtics play the Burnt Umber / Mocha Lakers for the NBA championship’s Butterscotch Bronze / Fuchsia trophy.
Can I still get a black and white HD TV?
