Maybe the idea of watching a silent movie has always seemed old-fashioned to you. But if you've never been to one of The Organ Loft's regular screenings of classic silent films -- complete with live Wurlitzer organ accompaniment -- this should be a reason to change that.

Tomorrow (April 17), The Organ Loft will host a special program at 7:30 p.m. showcasing short films featuring Charlie Chaplin and Utah native Mack Swain. This program wasn't on the original spring schedule, but has been added as a benefit for the family of Daniel Spencer Howells, who left a widow and six children after he was killed in a car accident recently at the age of 41. All proceeds from this show will go to the Howells family. Enjoy some of the greatest work by one of the greatest screen comedians, and bring a little more happiness to a grieving family.
