Sports geeks love stuff that rhymes or has a catchy phrase that sounds cool. Like “one and done.” Meaning you won one game, then lost, or took one shot and missed and so on. Other examples are “swing and a miss” “3 and out” and my favorite baseball phrase, “have a seat” which is what you do when you strikeout.

It is also what the Utah Jazz are about to do in the upcoming NBA playoffs. Doesn’t matter where they finish or if they end up playing the Lakers in the 1st round or not. So, I apologize to Jazz fan, but your team is “done” “cooked,” “stick a fork in them” and “no soup for you.”
