Hey look, famous Utah people getting drunk and dancing.

--- You wouldn't think to know it from the KUTV evening news, but I too won a City Weekly award for Best "Go Local" Blogger. And unlike everyone else over here who won... I showed up. First thing I see when I walk in was Bill Frost patiently waiting for the bar to open, check out Radio From Hell's podcast from this past Monday to here him chat about the evening. There was awesome catering from several restaurants who won awards this year, dancing gals and a photo booth, as well as other media-type personalities. Which I must say, without mentioning other names or stations (because I can't), the few who showed up from near the airport... quite snooty! Wouldn't even fain a hello. How rude. But the one evening personality from the industrial park... totally cool.
Lots of fun pictures of this party on the MySpace, showing a long list of cool winners that I won't completely namedrop. But a fond shout-out to the Geek Show guys for chatting it up with me, my friends at SLUG for the chatter and constant jokes, the “Mustache Brigade” who were in full force handing out fake hair, Alan from Area 51, Kennedy for posing, David & Deena, the free whiskey, and the various others I got to talk with throughout the evening. And a personal thank you to the people at City Weekly for the award and good times at the party! Now that I've gushed, let's move on.

Lots of cool stuff coming up, this weekend I'll have the calendar updated for the rest of April and the opening part of May. Not to mention more interviews including ones with Club Vegas, Meyer Gallery, Salt Lake Acting Company, Earth Jam, another visit to Gallery Stroll and of course the much anticipated events from Record Store Day this coming weekend. Planning for the rest of April's interviews is in the works with a lot of unknowns and hopeful surprises. But as always, we'll see what happens.
