One of the coolest, most unique bands on today's psychedelic scene, Spindrift stand apart from their contemporaries by specializing in the type of music that belongs in a Quentin Tarantino vehicle. After creating their own original feature film, "The Legend of God's Gun" - an epic, cosmic journey inspired by 60s-era spaghetti westerns - Spindrift popped on the independent director's radar and he selected a song from that film to appear in Larry Bishop's "Hell Ride," the Tarantino-produced 2008 picture inspired by 60s-era badass biker flicks.

So what does this mean for you? Spindrift will be in town tonight, performing their long strange trip of a set along with Salt Lake City's Red Bennies and Furs. Head to the Urban Lounge around 10 p.m. Bring your best paisley chaps.
