You Don't Have To Turn Off The Red Light

Red Light Books closed its physical location a few months back but that doesn't mean owners Jared and Tia decided to just throw in the towel completely. They still distribute records and books through their website and are have recently started to make the rounds around town hosting various live shows including last Saturday's Eagle Twin gig at Burt's.

Russes-less People

The woman sitting in front of me at Ballet West’ Treasures of the Ballets Russes may well have been representative of many in the audience when she said during the intermission she had been nervous about what she was going to see. A one-time dancer, she said she preferred narratives to the more experimental works on show that night.

The State Room

2008 wasn't the best of times for local venues as we saw many of them shut down. But this year looks to be promising as a brand new one opens up shop on State.
