Fish & Eagles & Birds, Oh! My!

The next two days are brimming with local album releases! Three to be exact. Do yourself a favor, and make it to at least one release show!
First on the bill is garage rock pros Kettlefish, putting out their self-titled piece over at Liquid Joe's. Bringng the rock with them will be Medicine Circus and Ediphonic, which all kicks off at 7 p.m.. And when you're done with that show, the Urban Lounge kicks off their 10 p.m. gig featuring Oh! Wild Birds. The long awaited debut album So Long Cowboy finally becomes a reality, and accompanying them tonight will be the awesome trio of The Platte, La Farsa and Samba Gringa. For those still lamenting the loss of Red Light Books, the store's owners will host Night Terror and Eagle Twin at Burt's Tiki Lounge on Saturday putting on what will most likely be a hell of show for their dual 7” release, with Massacre At The Wake opening shop. Drop in, say hit to Tia and Jared, and grab yourself some damn vinyl. For your viewing pleasure, a little bit of Eagle Twin filmed at Red Light's now-defunct East Broadway headquarters.
