The announcement from Sam Weller’s Books that store owners were looking to downsize the massive Main Street bookstore and move to smaller digs caused another local bookstore owner, Ken Sanders, to sit down and pen a rumination on the “Death of the book.” 

“Google, Wikipedia, the world wide web, Kindle, e-books, print on demand, and the next new thing threaten to extinguish the old-fashioned book,” he writes. “Perhaps. I think not …”
