This Saturday, March 21, the American Chemical Society (ACS) is sponsoring a hands-on science activity for kids and their families called Celebrating the Wonders of Chocolate and Chemistry, in conjunction with the upcoming ACS convention in Salt Lake City.

The events take place at the Discovery Gateway Museum, located at 444 West 100 South, from 11 AM to 2 PM.

The hands-on activities will include a demonstration of how chocolate can serve as an acid neutralizer, testing the number of electrolytes in favorite chocolate beverages; and giving attendees a white chocolate rose. Two lectures on chocolate will also be given and chocolate samples will be available. The first 1000 attendees will recieve free admission to the museum.
