What's on tap this weekend? Tonight, folk singer Alela Diane and jangly Americana band Blitzen Trapper perform an intimate all-ages show at Kilby Court. Later, Danish artists Efterklang will bring their sweeping experimental orchestral pop to the Urban Lounge. Arrive early to dance like mad to SLC's Brazilian highly-percussive merrymakers Jinga Boa. Feeling groovy? SLC psych-rockers Blue Sunshine Soul share the stage with The Black Hens at the Woodshed. Or maybe you just feel down and dirty, in which case head to Bar Deluxe for Hillstompa and Pink Lightnin'.

Also on State Street, locals %uFFFDAndale!, The Rubes and Townie (featuring a former member of the High Beams) will band together at Burt's Tiki Lounge to help raise funds to offset High Beams' frontman Joe Taylor's recent medical bills.

Tomorrow night, Portland's Starfucker will by all accounts start a major dance party at Kilby Court while Voodoo Swing inspires a different type of boogie at Burt's Tiki Lounge.

If you want to get busy all night long, you better pace yourself. The annual St. Patrick's Day parade kicks off in the early morning at the Gateway where mimosas, Irish coffee and green beer will be flowing from start to finish and so forth. To truly embrace the holiday spirit, we suggest making Piper Down your second home. The traditional pub started its festivities last night and will continue partying through Tuesday.

Spring has most definitely sprung.
