Separated at Birth?

I've noticed that Joseph Smith has been changing over the past 30 or so years. When I was a kid, his portraits all depicted him as a somewhat gawky, intense-looking young man. In the decades to follow, however, his features have evened out quite a bit, the intensity has been replaced with a calm, mature, farseeing, visionary affect. Probably good PR.
It wasn't until dining editor Ted Scheffler brought me a pamphlet about Nauvoo, Ill. (no worries: If he was trying to convert me, it was only to convert me to good taste), that I realized Old Joe is starting to look more and more like Will Wheaton:
