We listen to you, devoted readers. We always want to know what we're doing well, and what we could be doing better. And here's one of the things I've heard: We're not doing much to cover the local comedy scene.

Granted, it's not a huge scene; there are few venues for local comedians. But if there's talent out there, we want to know about it. It's just not always easy to know who's opening or MC-ing for a billed headliner.

Here's how you can help us: If you're a local comedian who knows about an upcoming gig -- or a friend of a local comedian who knows about an upcoming gig -- let us know. Email me at scottr@cityweekly.net with bookings, or register and create your own CityWeekly.net blog. Over the next several weeks, we'll be checking out the local scene with an eye towards an upcoming feature highlighting the best in local comedy. Heaven knows right now we could all use a laugh.
