I recently developed a rather healthy obsession with heavy blues duo The Black Keys, an obsession that Keys singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach has only intensified with the release of his solo LP, Keep It Hid. The Nonesuch Records album doesn't sound incredibly different from Auerbach's Keys material, though certainly fans of Patrick Carney's crashing drums will notice his absence on the record. Keep It Hid is bluesy, swampy, psychedelic and, at times, super romantic. Key tracks: "I Want Some More," "When I Left The Room."
Here's Auerbach playing "Trouble Weighs A Ton"
