Last week’s Five Spot featured Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, known for cot-sleeping and leg-wrestling. City Weekly news writer Eric S. Peterson turned in a nice, entertaining interview, neglecting—against expectations of our wingnut critics—to mercilessly ridicule the freshman congressman to his face.

Rant Control was relishing the projected onslaught of online comments from abashed wingnuts admitting they were wrong about us all along—and found, instead, only this complimentary and thoughtful response from “arc”: “Good interview of Rep. Chaffetz. Thanks. The online upgrade of the city weekly is very impressive. … I agree that Pres. Obama wants things done different in D.C., but the Democratic-run congress didn't get the memo. They are currently out of control. Obama is going to have to veto something to get them to work together.”

Now this is the kind of discourse we’re looking for, readers. “Arc” had an idea, and decided to share it with the world.

Do you believe that all the world needs now is veto, sweet veto? Log on to CityWeekly.net and let “arc” know what you think!

P.S. Confidential to J.C. in D.C.: Time to let the leg-wrestling thing go. It’s played.
