Winter Market Returns
The indoor Winter Market at Rio Grandea project of Urban Food Connections of Utah—has returned for the 2015-16 season. With more than 60 local vendors—including producers of meats and cheeses, baked goods, jams, salsas and more—the market is held on alternating Saturdays, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Rio Grande Depot (300 S. Rio Grande St.) through April 2016. The first market of the season was on Nov. 7; the next will be held on Nov. 21, themed "Winter Needs." So, in partnership with the Road Home, volunteers will be on hand to accept donations of hats, gloves, towels, new pillows and blankets to support the most urgent needs of shelters and Salt Lake City's homeless. For addition information, visit DowntownSLC.org.

Spirits & Brews @ Silver Fork
On Thursday, Nov. 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Silver Fork Lodge (11332 E. Big Cottonwood Canyon Road, Brighton, SilverForkLodge.com) will host a five-course dinner paired with beers from Park City Brewery and spirits crafted by Sugar House Distillery. The cost is $50 per person plus tax and gratuity, or $25 for dinner without the optional beer and spirits pairings. These special dinners at rustic Silver Fork Lodge are always relaxed, fun and a great place to meet new friends, so don't miss this one. For reservations, call 801-533-9977.

Welcome to Brutah!
In recognition of Salt Lake City's thriving craft beer and brewpub scene, the Hotel Monaco (15 W. 200 South) is offering guests a special "Brutah" package, available through March 2016. The Brutah package includes deluxe accommodations, a map of Salt Lake City's breweries and pubs, a rotating selection of four local beers in a bucket upon arrival, assorted "pub nosh" food selections, and morning coffee and tea service as well as a manager's wine social in the evenings. Rates for the Brutah package start at $195 per night. Book online at Monaco-SaltLakeCity.com (use the promotional rate code BREW) or call 800-805-1801.

Quote of the week: If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay home.
