I just read the nice article Ted Scheffler wrote [“Let Them Drink Heron,” May 3, City Weekly], and am honored that he likes my wines so much. I really appreciate the article.
I love the great state of Utah, and it’s especially nice to be featured in Utah since my mother and her husband (Meeche and Dave Bodner) live in Moab, where I also lived as a child. If Scheffler ever finds himself in Moab, he can visit their restaurant, Miguel’s Baja Grill, where he can enjoy a tasty glass of Heron or one of Dave’s famous margaritas!
By the way, I never actually received my diploma from the Masters of Wine, but I did study for it. I wish I had it; I got so busy starting Heron Wines that I couldn’t spend the time studying for it. It’s a fantastic program and so few people have it; I just didn’t want to take credit where it’s not due.
I really like Scheffler’s style of writing. Keep it up! Thanks again.
