Plum Alley

111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City, 84111
801-355-0543
Plum Alley is the newest restaurant from chef Ryan Lowder of Copper Onion, with a menu that focuses on vibrant Southeast Asian flavors. The restaurant is named for the street where Utah's own Chinatown was once located. The majority of the seating is at large, wooden, communal-style tables, so come prepared to get cozy and potentially make some new friends. Partake of pork-belly ramen, beef-marrow green curry, papaya salad, duck-breast salad, red curry with chicken, housemade noodles, steamed pork buns or any of the many delicious small-plate options. Wine lovers will rejoice, as the expertise that went into Copper Onion's wine list is also present in Plum Alley's simple but varied drink options--the bar seating along the edges of the restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail. To finish your exotic meal, try the Thai-basil chocolate cake, ginger ice cream or coconut or lime sorbet. With its winning combination of savvy service, delicious flavors and an inviting, casual dining space, Plum Alley is sure to become a downtown favorite.
