Operated by the owners of Primo—and located next door to that restaurant—is Benvenuti, a small, friendly Italian deli with big flavors. Bread is baked daily and is handmade from scratch, just like the pastas. Sandwiches are inexpensive and generous and feature high-quality lunchmeats like Italian mortadella, salamis, pancetta and such, along with imported cheeses such as Havarti, provolone and Swiss. There are also classic Italian-American entrees on the menu such as chicken Parmesan, shrimp scampi, spaghetti carbonara, fettucine Alfredo and pasta matriciana. Salad aficionados will enjoy the classic Caesar and Caprese salad selections. Be sure to save room for homemade tiramisu or cheesecake for dessert.
