Ruby Snap features gourmet cookie dough, sold either baked or frozen by the dozen to take and bake. Owner and creator Tami Cromar names her creations after women—friends, sisters and perhaps a fictional lady or two, such as Betty, a brilliant oatmeal cookie studded with bits of tender apricots and tart Montmorency cherries. Each month, Cromar creates a seasonally inspired dough to add to the regular roster. The other girls, from chocolaty cinnamon Margo, to a plump, truffle-like peanut-butter cookie called Penelope, are equally alluring. Eat your heart out, Mrs. Fields.
