I've eaten here twice, but never again. It's a shame, too, because the menu is diverse, the staff is courteous, service is quick, and the atmosphere is gorgeous.
The only problem? The food. I agree with other reviewers the H&S soup was good, as were the potstickers. In addition, the veggies in the dishes were perfectly al dente. Otherwise, our entrees were unpleasant. Once ate "Four Treasures"; again with the nice veggies, but the meat was dry and flavorless, and the sauce was bland. Same with the kids' chicken & broccoli.
Everything was strangely heavy, perhaps too much oil was used, or poor-quality oil? Maybe corn starch or another thickener? Gut bomb!
The worst, however, was the UNMISTAKABLE burning headache, centered around the salivary glands, temples, and across the brow caused by MSG!! If they're not using MSG, they're using something darn similar to it. Both times I ate here, though I had different entrees, I had a couple of hours of discomfort and semi-confusion caused by whatever nastiness was added to the entree.
