Normally, I don’t celebrate franchise restaurants. And although Pho Hoa doesn’t have a chain-like feel or look to it, it’s actually one of dozens located all over North America and Asia. All I can say is, lucky us. Pho Hoa is a great place for both pho (Vietnamese broth-based noodle soup) experts—who might opt for pho with tripe, tendon and fatty flank—and beginners, too, who would feel adventurous enough with just plain pho and tender eye-of-round steak. For vegetarians and seafood lovers, there are also versions of pho to please your palate, along with tasty vermicelli bowls and rice plates. Kids will love the “pearl” smoothies.
