Hog Wallow Pub is a great place for pizzas, nachos, hot wings & libations in a great neighborhood along Little Cottonwood Creek. The Hog Wallow Pub has evolved from its funky and ancient origins in an isolated area of the valley to a quiet respite in the Old Mill neighborhood that grew up around it. All that remains of its former lives from biker bar to hard rock enclave are the names carved into the wooden beams. These days you're most likely to find the loosened ties of middle-managers or the loose attitudes of skiers and mountain bikers, both drawn to the Hog Wallow award winning patio.
Expect standard, polite service and a better-than-average beer selection. Its woody, log-cabin décor is warm and welcoming but, despite its expansion—including a spacious, multilevel patio which is wonderful in the summer—it’s sometimes possible to catch a nostalgic whiff of the diehard old timers (some on diehard bikes) who still frequent the place. Live entertainment Wednesday through Saturday features mostly local bands, tending toward bluegrass, new folk and acoustic rock.
