With the Vertical Diner, Sage's Cafe owner Ian Brandt branches out with a wallet-friendly vegan diner specializing in healthy versions of greasy spoon favorites. Dishes here incorporate as many local, organic and unprocessed foods as possible, and purchases only fair trade and organic coffee, tea and cocoa. Breakfast items include a tofu scramble and grilled tempeh. There are also healthy "burgers," salads, appetizers, desserts, beer and wine. And, there's also live music on the patio, weather permitting.
