Cindy Lee Cafe offers healthy and authentic Chinese/Vietnamese fare at bargain prices. Combos that include some of tastiest orange chicken a person can find this side of the Pacific, ham-fried rice and an egg roll will cost you less than $8. All of the food is cooked fresh and practically before your eyes. Heaping portions of delicious pad thai or Mongolian beef make your mouth water. Despite its central location, Cindy Lee Cafe seems to be the best-kept secret in Salt Lake City, because the restaurant is frequently low on customers. Luckily for those in the know, the quality of food makes it a solid choice for authentic Asian food.

Was this an accident? Our first dining experience after being away from Utah for 3 years, and it was amazing! We were skeptical as this was the only restaurant we passed on our 3 mile walk around the 200 s block. We were so hungry, we had to stop. The dining room was gorgeous, decorated in the typical manner that you'd expect an Asian restaurant to look. We were promptly greeted and seated. And before we knew it, we'd ordered Caramel Pork, Sate Bean Curd, and Fresh Spring Rolls. I don't think 5 minutes passed before we had our spring rolls. I couldn't believe how fresh they were. Perhaps two minutes later, and our main course was on the table. The sauces were incredible, the meat perfectly prepared. Our bean curd could have been more crispy, but it still tasted great. The server was attentive, but not overwhelming, the food impeccable. I highly recommend.
