Vertical Diner Up for Peta2 Award
Vertical Diner has been named a finalist for a Libby Award for Best Local Restaurant by peta2, PETA’s youth division. The sixth-annual Libby Awards (“Libby” is for “liberation”) honor animal-friendly people and products. Visitors to peta2.com can vote for their favorites in each category, and peta2 will choose the winners. “Vertical Diner shows how real food lovers can indulge themselves without harming animals or their own health,” says peta2 division manager Marta Holmberg. “More and more people are demanding vegan options, and Vertical Diner is answering the call in the most delicious ways imaginable.” The peta2 Libby Award winners will be announced Jan. 17.
Jupiter Bowl Honored by SKI Magazine
Park City’s Jupiter Bowl—which has the best food and drink, hands down, of any bowling center I’ve ever set foot in—was recognized in SKI Magazine as the nation’s “top apres-ski spot for all ages.” “We’re thrilled to receive this distinction by SKI Magazine, the premiere publication read by 1.5 million ski enthusiasts,” says Damon Kuemmel, sales and marketing manager for Jupiter Bowl. “While apres ski is an activity traditionally associated with adults, Jupiter Bowl has succeeded in creating an environment with programming that truly appeals to a wide audience, from families to hipsters to corporate groups. It seems logical that the world-class skiing Park City is renowned for is complemented by a high-caliber apres-ski offering such as Jupiter Bowl.” The Lift Grill & Lounge at Jupiter Bowl offers terrific hand-tossed pizzas, great salads, burgers and delicious specialties like the buttermilk fried chicken atop white-cheddar mac & cheese.
