Staged to an original score by U.K. music producer Mason Newport and with sets consisting of pen-and-ink drawings by artist Todd Powelson, contemporary dance company Transfusion Hype’s About Love is a multidisciplinary work exploring the roller-coaster ride that is modern-day love. That said, they’d like you to keep in mind that it is, in fact, “about” even more than that. By combining every last dance form they can get their hands on—including hip-hop, ballet, jazz and modern—this collection of diverse dancers will investigate break-ups, hook-ups, lustings and longings alike. And, according to company director Ashlee Prentice, you can even expect an ugly “bridezilla” to unleash total mad havoc upon the production at some point.

But it’s not just about love; it’s about life, too. Transfusion Hype will, apparently, try to prove that “Where there is love, there is life.” (Jacob Stringer)
