We are Castle Valley Tomatoes, one of the many vendors at the Park City Farmers Market, Bountiful Farmers Market, Kaysville Farmers Market, Wheeler Farm Farmers Market and the Downtown Farmers Market at Pioneer Park. We have decided to take back America.
Our country has always relied on the farmer for produce. People far and wide are tired of being forced to purchase produce from other countries that is picked green and travels, on average, 1,500-plus miles before reaching store shelves—which, in essence, means we are being forced to buy rotting food! It may look enticing because the vegetables and fruit are being treated with a preservative gas to trick us into looking at beautiful produce—all the while it has started to rot on the inside.

Castle Valley Tomatoes has decided to rally Americans around the cause of growing and selling in the United States. To support this cause, we ask those who attend the farmers markets we attend to wear tomato red. As a bonus for wearing tomato red, all those who participate can come to our booth and receive $1 off each cluster of tomatoes. We love our country, and we farmers want it back.

What most Americans don’t know is that tomatoes are a true American food that was shared with the pilgrims by the American Indians.
