How on earth does actor/comedian Tom Arnold continue to stay firmly entrenched in Hollywood? Best known as the exhusband of Roseanne Barr, Arnold has managed to find consistent work in every area of entertainment since the two divorced 16 years ago. Plenty of time has passed for Tom to fade into obscurity—as most ex-spouses of celebrities do—yet Arnold has maintained a level of relevance that’s simply staggering.

Never mind the fact that he has consistently appeared in TV shows and movies the entire time. His 2010 credits alone are impressive: He’s been cast in nine movies so far this year, hosts Country Music Television’s show My Big Redneck Wedding, has emceed major events like George Carlin’s posthumous 73rd Birthday Celebration and performs at comedy clubs a few times each month, just for good measure. Though the T-shirts he sells at his shows say “It could be worse, you could be Tom Arnold,” his résumé certainly indicates otherwise.
