The Woodshed

Bigger than the average drinkin' shed

I’ll admit that I’ve drunk in some pretty decent sheds before, but The Woodshed (60 E. 800 South) is by far the nicest of the bunch. It has a great patio, it’s much bigger than the average drinkin’ shed and, in some ways, it’s the man cave I’ve always wanted. There are cheap libations, like $6 pitchers, $3 cocktails and $2 shots, plus, every Friday and Saturday, local bands of every genre give this downtown bar even more neighborhood appeal (State of Confusion on July 26 and Funk & Gonzo on July 27). If live music isn’t your thing, then take advantage of the four-player The Simpsons arcade game tucked away in the back. Yes, it’s the original arcade game from 1991, in all its glory—and it’s free!
