It would have been tough growing up in the large, talented family that Shawn and Marlon Wayans did. The youngest of 10 siblings, Shawn and Marlon were still in elementary school when oldest brother Keenan Ivory was appearing on TV shows. Nearly all of the siblings followed Keenan‘s lead, so it seemed only natural to Shawn and Marlon to try Hollywood themselves, including Keenan‘s film I‘m Gonna Git You Sucka, and his TV show In Living Color.
Shawn and Marlon quickly became popular as a comedy duo, their twin-like personas creating easy chemistry and perfect timing, and their own WB series, The Wayans Brothers, lasted five seasons. Onstage, audiences are getting the family special— each brother performs for 30 minutes, then they open it up for questions. Their opening act is even rumored to be Damon Wayans Jr. It’s certainly a family affair that is now entering the realm of legacy.
