The Way It Is
For Saifar Nisar, owner of downtown Main Street’s Curry in a Hurry, the bane of his existence is the parking-enforcement officer:
Parking downtown is so bad, there’s no spots. I’ve had so many customers pull up and they’ll come in for maybe one minute'I mean, this is Curry in a Hurry. We make our food really fast'and [yet] they’ll get a ticket. It’s really frustrating. They try to tell them, “Hey, look, I’m just getting take-out,” but they don’t care. They’re still going to give you a ticket. … I always hear Mayor Anderson say he wants people to come downtown, but there’s not that many free spots. There should be more. I don’t think downtown is going to lose money if they give up a little bit more free spots.
