The No Name Saloon: Park City History
Main Street in the former mining town of Park City used to be a smaller place with fewer merchants and watering holes. It was quaint enough to have an area called “The Barmuda Triangle” made up of The Cozy, The Club and The Alamo. The Alamo has since been dubbed The No Name Saloon (447 Main, Park City), but locals still fondly recall the trio of old bars that used to exist on Park City’s main drag.

The No Name Saloon is very rustic, as evidenced by the antlers on display, ton of exposed wood and plenty of history on the walls; it may be the most authentic institution in town with the word “saloon” still attached to it. Stop by any day of the week for a rowdy crowd of old timers, locals and visitors wetting their whistles—off-season or not.

Do The Dew, Dude: Hotel After-Party
The Dew Tour drops in the pipe Sept. 16-19, and The Hotel/Club Elevate (155 W. 200 South) is the spot for the official after-parties. Thursday features Rakaa of Dilated Peoples. Sept. 17 features DJ Rob Swift of the famous DJ “band” X-Ecutioners and “Ultra,” Saturday’s event, will be hosted by pro snowboarders Louie Vito and Stevie Bell.

The Trapp: Celebrating 20 Years
One of the oldest gay institutions in town is celebrating 20 years and inviting you to join. The Trapp (102 S. 600 West) is holding its anniversary party on Sept. 18 with a big show at 7 pm. featuring The Royal Court of the Golden Spike with Sheneka Christie hosting. If you’ve never sipped beer out of a mason jar at an establishment that boasts a cowboy boot-shaped disco ball, enjoy the time-honored tradition at the best place in town for it.
