The Capitol Preservation Board is pleased to host the Sixth Annual Movie Under the Stars. Each year, we team up with the Utah Film Commission to screen free movies on the southwest Capitol lawn. Thousands of people of all ages gather with blankets and picnic dinners to enjoy the evening air, beautiful views, and great movies! FREE Admission! Mark your calendar with the following dates: Friday, July 18 The Lone Ranger (filmed in Utah!) Friday, Aug. 1 The Lego Movie Friday, Aug. 15 - Despicable Me 2 Friday, Aug. 29 Frozen Local bands kick off each evening at 7:30p.m. and movies begin at sundown. Opening bands will be announced in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
