Tequila!
Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner. And for many, that means one word: tequila. See the Light
If you wanna get a head start on Cinco de Mayo, head over to the I.J. & Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center on Monday, April 27 for an evening of Mexico-inspired cooking, learning, food and fun. Jim Light, executive chef at the Viking Cooking School, will conduct a cooking class with a Cinco de Mayo theme: Attendees will learn the secrets of south-of-the-border dishes such as guacamole, cheese enchiladas, chile verde, tropical salsa and more. You can learn the secrets of popular Mexican dishes and then put them to use on the actual Cinco de Mayo. Educated at the renowned Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, New York, Chef Light’s real passion and commitment is about teaching others classic kitchen techniques and making culinary knowledge more accessible to food lovers.
