It’s not even Labor Day yet, but if you’re a snow rat, you’re already sniffing the air for the first whispers of autumn. And when you’re that eager for the first of powder, there’s an actionsports movie producer right around the corner to get you even more worked up.

The annual onslaught of ski and snowboard films kicks off with Absinthe Films’ “Sphere of Influence” Tour of the new snowboard flick Neverland—and we get the premiere screenings on a 23-city trek. The movie captures the amazing snow-carving adventures—pushing for the newest, best paces to make their mark—of Travis Rice, Dan Brisse, Bode Miller, Marc Frank Montoya and many more. Brisse, Miller and Montoya are scheduled to be on hand to sign autographs and chat about the upcoming season.

Portions of all proceeds go to local environmental groups; locally, $2 of your $10 ticket supports Salt Lake City Bike Collective, HEAL Utah and the Protect Our Winters Foundation.

Absinthe Films’ Neverland @ Tower Theatre, 876 E. 900 South, 801-321-0310, Friday, Aug. 28, 8:30 p.m. Absinthe-Films.com
