On Saturday, break a sweat to help impoverished youth in Haiti. Lose weight and change lives by registering for the Haiti’s Kids 5K & Fun Run in Sugar House Park. The $25 registration fee will go to raise funds for nonprofit Zion’s Children of Haiti, which sponsors educational opportunities for youth in Haiti and is looking to provide funding for hot meals for Haitian children.

Health System Reform Task Force
Tuesday, July 10
Following a Supreme Court stunner that found President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act health-care reform of 2010 to be constitutional, conservatives’ heads have stopped spinning and now they’re figuring out what to do next. The Utah Legislature will be discussing the fallout in a special committee hearing. The committee will be a good opportunity to see how the Legislature will consider expanding (or not) Medicaid in the state, something the Supreme Court found the president’s legislation had to grant greater authority to states.
