Radio City Christmas Spectacular Featuring The Rockettes

There are two schools of thought on how to have the perfect American Christmas—and they’re at opposite ends of the spectrum. On one hand, there’s the Norman Rockwell small-town celebration, complete with ice-skating on a frozen pond, caroling door-to-door and a one-horse open sleigh. However, many will swear that you haven’t really known the holiday season until you’ve spent it in New York City watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, stopping by Rockefeller Center to see the tree or hitting Radio City Music Hall to see the world-famous Rockettes kick up a storm.
For those who can’t get to the Big Apple this year, New York City is coming to Salt Lake City in the form of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular featuring the Rockettes at the Maverik Center.
The touring version of this holiday tradition will contain many of the show-stopping scenes it’s noted for, including the “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,” first performed in 1933 and still containing the famed domino-style collapse of the soldiers across the stage after a cannon blast. The performance runs the gamut from hundreds of dancing Santas (no, you’re not on drugs) to “The” Christmas story, all mixed in with gals with great gams—in other words, something for everybody who celebrates Christmas, or who just wants to get in the Christmas spirit.
