Pundits Prosper at the Expense of Discourse

“Divide and conquer” is one of the oldest and most effective power games used in society today. Another ploy designed to gain power and control is the “let’s you and him fight” game, as psychiatrist Eric Berne pointed out in his classic best-seller Games People Play more than 40 years ago.

Nowhere are these two games more evident than in today’s political climate where pundits by the sackful easily make fortunes on careers that pit people against their fellows.
